Interview with Laurent Vernerey (BSB '83), President of the BSB Foundation

A 1983 alumnus, Laurent Vernerey has served as President of the BSB Foundation since 2022. He previously held the position of CEO of Schneider Electric North America, where he developed widely recognized strategic expertise.

‍

Today, he splits his time between Boston and France, advising companies and executives on leadership, transformation, and growth.

He now embodies a generation of graduates who have never forgotten what Burgundy School of Business, known as "Sup de Co Dijon" at the time, taught them, and who now choose to give back, driven by a deep connection to their school.

In this interview, he discusses his motivations for getting involved, the initiatives that resonate most with his personal values, and what this renewed connection to a rapidly evolving campus means to him.

What was the "spark" that led you to get involved with the BSB Foundation?

The desire, after 30 years in the professional world, to dedicate my time and energy to mentoring and giving back.

Which of the Foundation's projects resonates with you the most personally?

The "Incubator" grant because it gives momentum to those ready to take the leap into entrepreneurship!

As a BSB alumnus, what is the greatest satisfaction you derive from your contribution?

That this story, which began for me in 1983, continues to this day and immerses me in a youthful environment full of opportunities to learn and exchange ideas.

What personal motto would you share with the new generation?
