Wine & Spirits Patrons' Club

"WINE & SPIRITS" EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

After establishing an Entrepreneurship Club in 2020, "BSB Start-up Studio", the BSB Foundation launched in 2021, with the School of Wine & Spirits Business of BSB, a high-end and selective Club bringing together key players from the Wine & Spirits world (major French and international donors passionate about wine and spirits, trading companies, and prestigious French estates).

This Patrons' Club aims to raise funds and commit to the BSB Foundation for projects related to the Wine and Spirits market, targeting equal opportunities, diversity, excellence, and entrepreneurial projects.

In conjunction with the School of Wine & Spirits Business and BSB's Wine & Spirits expertise, supported projects can be funded through financial patronage, skills-based patronage, or in-kind patronage.

By establishing this Patrons' Club, we aim to increase the attractiveness of our programs, attract the best local and international profiles, and promote diversity within our classes.

6 "Rooted in France" scholarships since 2021

Burgundy School of Business (BSB) is the 1st European Business School to participate in the scholarship program of The Roots Fund, in partnership with Domaine Dujac.

The Roots Fund is a non-profit American association working for inclusion and supporting diverse students who wish to enter the wine industry.

Thanks to this partnership, 6 female students have joined the School Wine & Spirits Business since 2021. BSB and the Foundation cover their tuition fees, and The Roots Fund covers all their living expenses.

Providing an opportunity for a person of color to study and live abroad is one of the many reasons we created our organization. Offering a pathway to the highest level of wine education will be life-changing. The partnership with BSB shows that change is possible when concrete actions are taken.

We’re looking forward to continuing to build a bridge from one side of the pond to the other, Rooted together.

As a French-American, having grown up in France with an American mother and a French father, the political climate in the United States in 2020 greatly concerned me. I then reached out to The Roots Fund, which had just been established, to find opportunities and mentoring programs for marginalized communities in the wine industry. [...]

Student Recipient 2021

The support from the BSB Foundation allowed me to have a unique experience: studying abroad in the most prestigious wine region. This opportunity allowed me to gain my own identity, learn different cultures and perspectives, all while focusing on wine and spirits. It has strengthened and will continue to strengthen my confidence and enhance my network, not only in the wine industry but also in life. This support not only enabled me to study at BSB, but it will also help me acquire the most important things: mentorship, inclusion, and the tools to succeed in the wine industry. Thank you again for helping to make my dream a reality.
